Celebrating the 4th of July

Time can really get away from you with 5 kiddos.  On top of that add the end of the school year and lots of activities and I can't seem to step away and take the time to blog.  Life just kind of happens that way.
Our oldest daughter will be turning 16 in August and she has been asking for a puppy for some time now.  We surprised her with the dog of her dreams (a miniature blue merle Australian shepherd) last week as an early birthday present.  There were lots of conditions placed on getting this puppy - meaning she is the one to care for her with all that entails as an 8 week old puppy.  She has done a great job so far....after all how can you get mad or frustrated at this little face?
Our weekend was full of activities.  We hung out with friends at home around the pool on Friday and then headed uptown with the big kids for dinner and fireworks.  Saturday we celebrated with my uncle as he married a wonderful women.  Sunday we laid low and enjoyed church and hanging around the pool at home.   It was a great weekend!
Hoping to update more often, but can't make any promises....lol
