Doctor Update
Lily went for her speech evaluation on Tuesday. She was a little above her age on understanding what you say and her ability to follow directions, etc. However on her ability to speak she was a few months behind, which is what I assumed. So overall, with the two scores combined, she is developmental at the age of a 1 year and 6 month old. Not too bad considering her background. She is 1 year and 9 months old now. We are not going to do any therapy at this point. She doesn't want her to get frustrated and doesn't think she is developmentally ready to begin. I agree. We will reevaluate after she turns "2" in April.
We also had her checkup with the pediatrician this week. Lily is now 33.5" tall, weighs 24 lbs (fully clothed with boots on) and her head circumference is 44.5. So, with all that said she is still in the 75% for height, 25% for weight and 5% for head. She remains on the curve and growing at a steady pace. Since her last checkup 6 months ago she grew 2.5" and gained 4 lbs. The doctor is pleased with her growth and development. Unfortunately she received 6 shots...bummer!
