I was thinking today about the fact that Lily has been with us for 8 months now! Maybe it is because we went for a haircut today and it is amazing how much her hair has grown.....or maybe it is because she seems to fit in so perfectly with our family like she has always been here....or maybe it is because her "true colors" are really shining because she feels so darn comfortable with us. I think it is mostly the latter of the three! She will throw a tantrum the moment she doesn't get her way and the girl has some lungs on her thats for sure! Mostly she is funny, happy, full of smiles, dancing and playing but that can turn off like a switch....and then watch out.
Not too much to report on Ethiopia. I know they are working hard to resolve the issues there and it seems like there has been some progress. We have completed our 3 homestudy visits and now we are waiting on our homestudy to be approved by our adoption agency. Things are moving along on our end. Please continue to keep Ethiopia in your prayers.
Here is a picture of Lily in her first "Ponytail".

ReplyDeleteLOVE the pony tail, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! It's interesting we have found one another in the blog-osphere: you are adopting from Ethiopia & we are considering adopting from China next :) William is estimated to be around 14 months. Our agency sent an update today saying things are looking up for the Ethiopia MOWA situation, by the way...
ReplyDeleteHey there! So glad you stopped by the blog. I LOVE your blog! Your family is so precious!! So amazing the similarities! Love it! Your little Lily is A-DOR-ABLE!!! (not to mention your other little sweeties!) Cannot wait to see our little man from Ethiopia!!! Are you a CCAI family? We used CCAI for Lily Hope! We used Celebrate Children International for Lola Joy from Ethiopia. I know there are a lot of crazy changes going on, but you know from China adoptions how things change, but how our God is sovereign through it all and sees the big picture that we cannot see. So excited to follow you on this amazing journey. It's so beautiful to watch! Blessings on this journey. Praying that God will give you peace in your heart that He is loving on your little man until you can get to him!

Found your blog from Julie, and I just had to laugh. Our Eva Faith has been home from ET for 9 months now and your description of Lily and her tantrums is exactly like Eva! She is the sweetest thing ever, but if she is mad, WATCH OUT! HA! Congrats on completing your homestudy! One big step closer!!!
