Approved!

I received a call from CCAI (our adoption agency) today and our adoption application has been approved!
So now what, you may ask? First we must start the process of getting our homestudy done. Once our homestudy is complete we can file our I-600 with immigration. Once our I-600 is approved we can file our dossier with Ethiopia. Alot of documents to gather once again!
First things first though, I must get our signed & notorized service fee agreements to CCAI and our homestudy agency to get the ball rolling!

  1. From what I understand, if you've had a homestudy done in the past you just need to have an addendum added.... (read 'less expensive,' 'less visits from the SW', and 'less time to wait!')

We adopted from Ethiopia - the paperwork was EZ! (compared to India, haven't done China yet.... (he he he 'yet!')

Saw your post on my friends' Deb and Steve blog.

  2. We checked with our agency and we need "3". Hoping for just an update with this being our 4th homestudy but no such luck. Our paperwork states we can not use prior homestudies as part of our 3. STINKS. Oh well, what can you do....just keep on moving along.
